Therapy services

Therapy can help with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. It is a process that involves working closely together to help you move from where you are now, to where you would like to be.

Therapy offers a safe environment for exploring your needs, generating solutions and achieving change. My role as your therapist is to listen carefully to your concerns so that we can better understand what you want to achieve and what is getting in the way. We then use this understanding to devise an action plan that will help you move forward. My approach is supportive, creative and forward looking, and draws on a blend of psychological theories and research evidence as well as specific techniques that are designed to help you achieve your goals.

Some of the most common difficulties with which therapy can help are:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • Social anxiety
  • Health worries
  • Obsessions and compulsions
  • Panic attacks
  • Phobias
  • Worry
  • Coping with difficult or traumatic life events
  • Work stress
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Low mood and depression
  • Bereavement
  • Sleep problems
  • Breaking habits
